Kesha Adams – Volleyball | Class of 1995
From 1991 to 1995, Kesha Adams served as the heartbeat of the Lady Marauders Volleyball program — a relentless competitor, natural leader, and cornerstone of a team that elevated Central State University Volleyball to new heights.
Over the course of her remarkable career, Adams distinguished herself as one of the most dominant players in program history. She was a four-time team MVP (1991–1994), earned NAIA District 22 Honorable Mention, and was selected to the University of Michigan Invitational All-Tournament Team. A multiple-time NAIA District 22 Player of the Week nominee, she consistently led the Lady Marauders in kills, service aces, blocks, and digs, leaving an indelible mark on every match she played.
Beyond her statistical achievements, Adams was known for her exceptional leadership and competitive drive. In 1993, she guided Central State to its first-ever NAIA District 22 Championship playoff appearance, a historic milestone that signaled the program’s rise in national prominence. Her work ethic, poise, and ability to perform under pressure made her both a trusted teammate and a model of excellence.
Kesha Adams’ influence extends far beyond her playing days. She blazed a trail for future generations of Lady Marauders, inspiring young athletes — particularly Black women — to lead with confidence, compete with heart, and leave a legacy of greatness both on and off the court.
