The HBCU College Football All-America Team: Body, Allen, Jones, Sims lead the way

When it's all said and done, there will be a lot to remember about the 2025 HBCU college football season. However, there are still two games left to be played to determine the HBCU national champions.
The SWAC championship game will be played this Saturday as defending HBCU national and SWAC champion Jackson State will take on the SWAC Western Division champion Prairie View A&M Panthers in Jackson, MS. The winner will face two-time defending MEAC champion South Carolina State in the Celebration Bowl in Atlanta on Saturday, December 13 which will be the final game of the season.
As we await those two games, The HBCU college football All-America team powered by BOXTOROW was released on Wednesday. speaking to the talent across the landscape of HBCU football and college football.
BOXTOROW has named the All-America team since 2007, based on voting by media who cover HBCU football.
Alabama State quarterback Andrew Body, Virginia Union running back Curtis Allen, Alabama State wide receiver Jalen Jones, and Alabama State defensive back Ta'Shaun Sims received the most votes.
Body received the most overall votes. He was named the SWAC Offensive Player of the Year and leads the SWAC in total offense (352.5), passing yards per game (202.9), passing touchdowns, TD-to-INT ratio (24-1), efficiency (202.9), completion percentage (70.3), and yards per carry (8.3). He is second in the SWAC in rushing yards per game (88.5), rushing for 708 yards and four touchdowns. He threw for 300 or more yards in a game three times and rushed for 100 or more yards in a game once versus UAB (8/28).Â
Allen was named the CIAA Offensive Player of the Year. He leads all divisions in rushing yards (2,386), rushing yards per game (198.8), and rushing touchdowns (30). He leads the nation in carries (297) and is eighth in the nation in yards per carry (8.0). He rushed for no less than 108 yards in any game (12 games) and rushed for more than 200 yards in a game four times including rushing for 369 yards vs. Bluefield State (11/1).
Jones leads the SWAC and FCS in yards per reception (22.9), leads the SWAC and is second in FCS in receiving yards (1,167), and leads the SWAC and is third in FCS in receiving yards per game (97.2). He has caught 51 passes and nine touchdowns, and has recorded five games of 100 or more yards receiving,
Sims leads the SWAC and is tied for second in FCS in interceptions (5). He also has four pass breakups and has recorded 38 tackles (22 solo).
In total, 17 programs are represented of the 30Â selections.
