Lady Marauders cruise to win over Bluefield State

Box Score Lady Marauders cruise to three set victory over Bluefield State
 
SALEM, West Virginia – The Lady Marauders won in dominant fashion, beating Bluefield State College in straight sets on Friday.

CSU jumped out to an 8-1 lead in the first set and never looked back. CSU went on to win the first set 25-8. CSU followed with the most decisive set of the season, winning 25-5.

Bluefield State was competitive in the third set, coming back to tie it up, 16-16. CSU responded by earning the next 5 points and closed out the match with a 25-20 win.

CSU totaled 22 team kills while committing just 9 errors. BSC players combined for 18 errors.

Deja Clark led all players with six kills. Desiree Howard recorded a season-high six service aces and led the team with eight digs. Akaila Howard finished with a match-high 18 assists.

As Homecoming festivities kick off on the campus of Central State this week, the Lady Marauders will host rival Kentucky State on Tuesday night at 7 pm.
