Marauders cruise to 89-64 road win over Lane

JACKSON, Tennessee – The Central State Marauders cruised to a 89-64 road win over Lane College on Tuesday night.
With the win, CSU's record improves to 15-12 overall and 11-8 in SIAC play. LC falls to 11-16 overall and 7-12 in conference play.
Leading 25-21 with 5:40 left in the first, CSU took control with a 11-1 run and went into the break up, 42-28.
CSU maintained its double-digit lead throughout the second half, shooting 50% from the field in the final 20 minutes of play to cruise to the 25-point win.

CSU outscored LC on the fast break, 38-12. The Marauders also held a 48-24 edge in points scored in the paint.

Darweshi Hunter and
Theo Howard paced the CSU scoring with 19 points each.
Dreon Lewis finished with 18 points and seven rebounds.

Lane was led by Lew Johnson's 12 points and four rebounds.
CSU hosts Bluefield State on Friday night to conclude the regular season.
