Marauders lose to Kentucky State, 77-75

FRANKFORT, Kentucky – A last second jump shot by Jordan Little gave Kentucky State a 77-75 win over Central State on Saturday.

The loss drops CSU's record to 14-12 overall and 10-8 in SIAC play. KSU improves to 10-16 on the year with a 7-12 conference record.

CSU led by as many as 12 early on before KSU closed the first half on a 14-4 run to take a 35-32 lead at intermission. Down by 14 with 5:43 to play, CSU stormed back with a 17-3 run to tie the game up, 70-70, with 1:59 remaining. The teams traded baskets down the stretch. With the score tied at 75-75, KSU forced a CSU turnover leading the game winning basket by Little as time expired.

KSU held a 18-12 edge in points scored off turnovers. KSU made 26 of 57 field goal attempts (45.6%) while CSU was 26 of 64 from the field (40.6%).

Each school finished with four players scoring in double-figures.

Darweshi Hunter led all scorers with 22 points. KSU was paced by Grante Goode's 17 points and 10 rebounds.
