Jaron Jones has served as assistant coach of the Central State University women's and men's volleyball programs since the Spring of 2021.
Originally from Tempe, Arizona, Jones played collegiately for Benedectine University at Mesa. Developing into one of the premier setters in the country, Jones earned All American honors twice, two-time Golden State Athletic Conference Player of the Year honors, two-time conference Setter of the Year, two-time National Player of the Week, and two-time NAIA All-Tournament honors. As a senior, Jones guided the Redhawks to the NAIA National Championship with a final overall record of 26-4 and a perfect 10-0 in conference play.
After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Jones went on to play professionally in London, England with the Malory Eagles, helping the team finish in the top three in London's highest division.
Jones began coaching for the East Valley Juniors boys team and eventually served as an assistant for both the boys and girls team, working with age groups ranging from 14 to 18. He spent the 2020 indoor volleyball season as an assistant at Benedectine – Mesa, helping the team reach No. 5 in the national rankings before the season was cut short due to the Covid-19 pandemic. He spent the 2020-2021 season as an assistant for ASPIRE boys' volleyball for the 16-1s program.
