Medical Information for Student Athletes

1789To all current and future student-athletes of Central State University,

It is our hope that during your time at CSU, you enjoy a successful and injury free career. If and when injuries do occur, our dedicated staff is ready to step in.

Staff members of the Athletic Training Department at CSU are all nationally certified and state licensed allied health care providers in athletic training. Our training includes injury prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation techniques which will aid all student-athletes' well-being. We serve as the initial contact between the student-athletes and the team physicians at Kettering Health Network in regards to injury management. It is imperative to report any and all injuries to the athletic training staff in a timely manner, which can then provide appropriate care. The athletic trainers are also responsible for scheduling all physician appointments, procedures or any medical tests prescribed by the team physicians.

We hope that all of our student-athletes have a successful and enjoyable experience while wearing the maroon and gold. It is our goal to provide the best possible care for any medical issues that may arise during this time. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions that you may have about our department, our policies or our procedures.

We encourage all student-athletes, family members and/or legal guardians to review all medical forms and guidelines for the upcoming season. Please be mindful of the required paperwork for the upcoming season.
