Tuskegee Outshines Marauders on Historical Night Under the Lights

Marauders Shut Out by Tuskegee in Road Defeat

Tuskegee, AL – September 6, 2025 – Central State endured a tough night in Abbott Memorial Stadium. The Marauders had hoped for a different ending to a historic night in the over 125 year history at Abbott Memorial Stadium, where Tuskegee played it's first ever night game.  The Marauders suffering a 33-0 setback to Tuskegee University in SIAC play. The loss drops the Marauders to 0-2 overall and 0-2 in conference action, while Tuskegee improves to 2-0 (1-0 SIAC).

Slow Start and Missed Opportunities

Tuskegee controlled the first half with a field goal and short touchdown run, taking a 9-0 lead into halftime. Despite defensive stands that kept CSU within striking distance, the Marauder offense struggled to find rhythm, failing to cross the goal line for the second straight week.

Tuskegee Pulls Away

The Golden Tigers struck quickly in the third quarter as quarterback Raequan Beal connected with EJ Hall for a 66-yard touchdown to extend the lead. In the fourth, Tuskegee capitalized on field position, adding a pair of scores through the air and a defensive touchdown off an 88-yard fumble return to seal the win.

Marauder Leaders

Despite flashes in the passing game, the Marauders were unable to finish drives against a physical Tuskegee defense that forced multiple turnovers.
