Marauders beat Morehouse in three sets
WILBERFORCE, Ohio - The Central State Marauders made quick work of the Maroon Tigers of Morehouse on Saturday with a three set victory.
With the win, CSU is now 10-12 overall with a 3-1 record in SIAC play. Morehouse falls to 0-8 on the year and 0-2 in the SIAC.
The Marauders won with scores of 25-9, 25-14 and 25-21 on their way to their third straight SIAC victory.
CSU tied a season-high with 16 service aces on the afternoon while the offense combined for 39 kills and 13 errors on 75 total attacks (.347). Morehouse struggled throughout the match as they tallied 12 kills and 13 errors on 49 attacks (-.020).Â
D'Aaron McCraney led CSU with eight kills and a .727 hitting percentage. He also finished with a match-high four blocks.
Marcus Franck finished with 19 assists while recording seven aces.Â
Saturday marked the sixth time CSU has won in three sets this season.
The Marauders will host Benedict on Friday at 6 pm.
