Wilberforce, OH - The Undefeated Benedict College Tigers proved to be too much for the Marauders in the 98-82 SIAC contest. For the first ten minutes of the half the game was tight and the Marauders looked strong, but the Tigers went on a 10-0 run to expand their lead, one the Marauders weren't able to recover from. Benedict took a 47-27 lead into the locker room at half-time. Â
During the second half the Marauders outscored the Tigers 55-51. CSU made several runs to cut the lead, but couldn't get within striking distance. Central State was led by
Willie Jackson's 25 points. Jackson was lights out knocking down 7-11 triples. Steven Key had another strong game pouring in 19 points, while
Sean Paige finished the game with 14 points. Â
The Marauders are back in action Monday night at 7:30 pm against Allen. Â
