Lane edges Lady Marauders, 74-71


WILBERFORCE, Ohio - The Central State Lady Marauders dropped their fourth straight game with a 74-71 loss to Lane on Monday night.


The loss drops CSU to 7-10 overall and 6-6 in the SIAC. LC improves to 11-6 on the year and 6-5 in the conference.


LC used its size inside and outscored CSU in the paint, 54-38. LC also outrebounded CSU, 51-38.


Forward Brailyn Tate led LC with 22 points while Kaila Simmons recorded a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds.


CSU was led by 18 points from Kailyn Nash. Abbigail Peterson added 12 points and five assists. 


CSU hosts LeMoyne-Owen on Wednesday at 5:30 pm.
