Central State beats Maryville in four sets
WILBERFORCE, Ohio - The Central State men's volleyball team won Saturday's home opener with a four set win over Maryville.
With the win, CSU is now 2-2 overall while Maryville falls to 1-2 on the season.
CSU jumped out to a 2-0 lead with a 25-21 win in the first game followed by a 25-19 triumph in the second set. Maryville extended the match with a 25-19 win in the third set before CSU closed out the afternoon with a 25-15 victory in the fourth and final set.
CSU combined for 44 kills and 18 errors on 100 attacks for a .260 hitting percentage. Maryville attackers tallied 31 kills, 28 errors and 98 total attacks for a .031 percentage.Both teams struggled on service with Maryville committing 27 errors while CSU totalled 18 service miscues.

Cameron Lee led the team offensively with 12 kills.
Henrique Doederlein Do Amaral finished with 10 kills. CSU libero
Victor Scherer led all players with 22 digs while
D'Aaron McCraney finished with six blocks.
Marcus Franck recorded 33 assists.
Drew Rogers paced Maryville's offense with 10 kills.
CSU will attempt to climb above .500 on Sunday when the team hosts Missouri S&T at 1 pm.
