Hardy's 35-point night lefts Lady Marauders to 94-78 road win over Spring Hill
MOBILE, Alabama - Freshman guard
Ciara Hardy led the Central State Lady Marauders to a 94-78 road win over Spring Hill on Sunday night.
CSU jumped out to a 27-11 lead after the first 10 minutes of play and never looked back on their way to the 16-point win.
Hardy, a 5'8 freshman guard from Inkster, Michigan, finished with a season-high 35 points by making 12 of 22 field goal attempts, including six three-pointers. Hardy also grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked two shots. Forward
Dashanti Miller recorded her fourth double-double of the year with 15 points and 20 rebounds.
Baijing Zinnerman and
Cathryn Jones finished with 10 points each.
Paced by Miller, Zinnerman and Jones, the CSU bench outscored the SHC reserves, 37-7. CSU combined to finished with 56 rebounds which included 28 offensive rebounds. SHC managed just 37 rebounds and were outscored in second chance points, 18-9.
With the win, CSU improves to 4-13 overall and 3-10 in the SIAC. SHC falls to 4-17 on the year and 3-7 in the conference.
CSU plays at Tuskegee on Monday at 5:30 pm cst.
