Tuskegee beats Central State, 90-70
TUSKEGEE, Alabama - Tuskegee took the regular season series with a 90-70 win over Central State on Monday night.
TU jumped out to a 30-19 lead by the end of the first quarter and had a 57-25 lead by halftime. CSU never fully recovered and allowed TU to cruise to the comfortable 20-point victory.
TU shooters combined to convert over 62% of their field goal attempts while CSU shot just over 40% on the night. CSU was outrebounded 42-29 and gave up 46 points in the paint.
TU's Ashaila Jackson led all players with 32 points and 14 rebounds.
CSU was paced by
Kailyn Nash's 22 points.
With the loss, CSU drops to 4-14 overall and 3-11 in the SIAC. TU extended its winning streak to 13 straight games while improving to 17-2 overall and 11-1 in conference play.
CSU travels to play Kentucky State on Saturday.
