Central State track & field announces fall tryout dates

As the 2021-22 track & field season approaches, the Central State University will hold tryouts on Tuesday, October 19 and Wednesday October 20 at 5:30 pm in McPherson Memorial Stadium. Tryouts for the throwers and jumpers will be on October 19 while sprinters and runners will tryout on October 20.


Those planning to attend the tryout must come prepared with appropriate attire. All attendees must fill out and submit the "Walk-On Tryout" packet (PDF)  to the CSU Athletic Training Office by 5 pm on Monday, October 18.

Additional requirements in order to tryout on August 21 include:

• Full-time enrollment status at CSU for Fall 2021
• Be in good academic standing, per University academic criteria
• Vaccinated (with certification proof) or present a negative COVID-19 test result within 72 hours of tryout date
