Lady Marauders drop third straight game

MOBILE, Alabama – The Central State Lady Marauders lost to Spring Hill, 77-73, on Monday night.

Losing their third straight game, the Lady Marauders are now 7-13 overall with a 5-7 record in the SIAC. Spring Hill improves to 8-13 on the year with a 7-5 record in conference play.
CSU battled back from an 18 point second half deficit to pull within one, 68-67, with 1:37 to play. The comeback attempt fell short as CSU missed its final five shots from the field to lose by four.

CSU struggled from the field throughout the contest, making 26 of 72 shots (36.1%). SHC converted 26 of 53 field goals (49.1%).

Tiffany Valentine led Spring Hill with 27 points and 13 rebounds.

Cameryn DuBose led CSU with 14 points and eight rebounds.
Shania Kelly and
Tamara Olverson finished with 12 points each.
Charlize Turner chipped in 11 points.
CSU will return home to host Spring Hill this Saturday.
