Lady Marauders lose at Kentucky State, 60-45

 
FRANKFORT, Kentucky – The Central State Lady Marauders fell on the road to Kentucky State, 60-45, on Saturday.


With the loss, the Lady Marauders are now 11-15 overall with a 9-8 record in the SIAC. KSU improves to 8-17 on the year with a 5-13 mark in conference play.
 
 
CSU trailed 19-5 after the first quarter and never recovered. CSU struggled from the field, making 15 of 54 shots (27.8%) while KSU made 24 of 53 attempts (45.3%). KSU also outscored CSU in the paint, 32-18.
 
 
KSU's Victoria Blackenship led all players with 19 points and nine rebounds. CSU was paced by Takyra Gilbert's 11 points and three assists.
 
 
CSU travels to Lane on Tuesday.
