Miles cruises to 86-61 win over Central State
 

WILBERFORCE, Ohio – Central State University fell behind by 30 in the first half in eventually lost to Miles College, 86-61, on Saturday.
 
 
The Marauders loss snapped a four-game winning streak as the team fell to 13-11 overall and 9-7 in SIAC play. MC improves to 18-3 overall with a 13-2 mark in the conference.
 
 
MC jumped out to a 13-2 lead and never looked back. CSU made just six of 32 shot attempts in the first half and trailed, 43-24, at half.
 
CSU opened the second half on a 8-3 run before MC took full control with a 14-3 run to increase their lead to 25. MC built their lead up to as many as 28 and cruised to their tenth straight win.
 
 
CSU was 19 of 62 from the field (30.6%) while MC made 37 of 69 attempts (53.6%).
 
 
MC's Avery Brown led all players with 30 points and 11 rebounds. Jelani Watson-Gayle added 21 points in MC's win.
 
 
Darweshi Hunter led CSU's efforts with 22 points. Harris Brown scored 13 in the loss.


 
CSU hosts LeMoyne-Owen on Monday night.
