Central State forward Chris Scott has been named to the BOXTOROW.com All-America Second Team.


"I thank my teammates and coaches for welcoming me and giving me an opportunity to make an immediate impact," says Scott. "We finished the regular season on a nice winning streak. I am looking forward to leading the team next season with the ultimate goal of winning a postseason title."


Scott, who transferred from Lakeland Community College, also earned SIAC Newcomer of the Year honors and a All-SIAC First Team selection. The 6'9 junior ranked No. 3 in the SIAC in scoring (17.6 ppg), No. 5 in rebounds (8.0 rpg) and No. 9 in free throw percentage (79.5%). Scott finished the season with 10 double-doubles and earned SIAC Newcomer of the Week honors five times while leading the Marauders to the first SIAC Regular Season West Division title in program history.


Scott becomes the fourth player from CSU to be selected to the BOXTOROW.com All-America Team.
