Marauders struggle in lopsided loss to Lincoln
 
LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pennsylvania – The Central State Marauders lost in lopsided fashion, 107-69, to Lincoln University on Wednesday night.
 
Trailing by five with 11:30 left in the first half, CSU surrendered an 11-3 run as the Lions extended their lead to double figures. The Lions led by as many as 19 in the first 20 minutes of play before taking a 46-30 lead at the break.
 
The Lions continued to set the pace, opening the second half on a 9-2 run to extend the lead to 23. The Marauders never made a significant run to cut into the Lions lead. By the 3:51 mark, the LU lead stood at 105-59. With result predetermined before the final whistle, both teams emptied their benches as LU handed CSU its fifth consecutive loss.
 
The Lions converted 47.4% of their shot attempts from the field compared to CSU's 32.8% shooting performance. The Marauders committed 17 turnovers compared to the Lions' seven giveaways. CSU was also outrebounded 52-40.
 
Five Lions finished the game scoring in double-figures. Cameron Campbell led LU with 25 points, making eight of 12 shots.
 
Dwight Richards, Jr. led the Marauders with a game-high 29 points along with 7 rebounds. Freshman Dorian Crutcher scored 19 points off the bench. No other CSU player scored more than five points.
 
CSU will be back in action this Saturday in an exhibition game against NCAA Div. I program Eastern Michigan University.

CSU played in its fourth of six consecutive road games on Thursday.
