Marauders continue to struggle on the road in loss to Spring Hill
MOBILE, Alabama – The Central State Marauders lost to Spring Hill, 87-62, on Monday night.

The loss drops CSU to 6-13 overall with a 5-7 ledger in the SIAC. SHC improves to 6-13 on the season with a conference record of 4-7.

SHC never trailed, opening the game on a 7-0 run. CSU battled back to eventually tie the game, 25-25, when
Chris Scott converted from beyond the arc with 6:16 to play in the first half. SHC closed the half on a 9-2 run to take a 34-27 lead at intermission.

SHC took control in the early stages of the second half with a 18-6 run capped off by a William Loyd dunk. Later in the half, SHC's lead ballooned to 21 when Gresyn Rogers hit a three-pointer with 8:33 to play. SHC maintained a 20-point margin for the remainder of the game and cruised to the 25-point victory.

Rogers and Loyd each scored 17 points to lead the SHC offense.

Scott paced CSU with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals.

The Marauders resume conference play on Saturday in Memphis, Tennessee against LeMoyne-Owen.

CSU is now 0-9 on the road this season.
CSU is in a three-way tie for first in SIAC West Division with Kentucky State and Lane.
CSU has lost two straight games at Spring Hill.
