Lady Marauders beat Bluefield State for seventh straight victory
SALEM, West Virginia – The Central State Lady Marauders cruised to their seventh straight win on Saturday with a 80-49 victory over Bluefield State.

With the win, CSU improves to 8-2 overall. Bluefield State drops to a 1-8 mark on the year.
CSU never trailed en route to the 31-point victory. Sophomore
Takyra Gilbert scored 17 of her game-high 23 points in the first half. Gilbert also grabbed 5 rebounds and 6 steals.
Sierra Harley finished with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists.
Falon Edwards added 11 points and 8 rebounds.
CSU recorded 19 steals and held a 31-8 edge in points scored off of turnovers.
The Lady Marauders will attempt to extend their winning streak on Sunday at Salem University at 5 pm.

Notes
The Lady Marauders are currently playing in the Joe Manchin Classic hosted by Salem University.
Takyra Gilbert has scored 20 or more points in three straight games. She currently leads CSU with 18.4 ppg.
Sierra Harley remains consistent from three point range, converting over 50% of her shots from beyond the arc.
Gilbert, a transfer from Cincinnati State Community College, is the reigning SIAC Newcomer of the Week.
