Box Score No. 18 Kentucky Wesleyan handles Central State, 101-67Â
WILBERFORCE, Ohio – The Marauders of Central State University had their three-game winning streak snapped at the hands of No. 18 ranked Kentucky Wesleyan on Wednesday night.
A much bigger team, KWC used its size to get out to a healthy 11-2 lead and never looked back. Five players scored in double-figures for the Panthers, including a game-high 21 points from C.J. Blackwell. KWC shot 63% from the field and an efficient 10 for 17 from beyond the arc. The Panthers also won the rebound war, 38-20, as they improved to 20-3 on the season.
Jeremy Brown paced the Marauder scoring with 16 points followed by 14 from
Tre' Edwards. With the loss, the Marauders fall to 9-12 overall.
The Marauders return to SIAC competition when they host rival Kentucky State in the final home game of the season this Saturday at 8 pm.
Central State will honor its four departing seniors during pre-game.
