Jihad Rasheed will suit up to play on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in this year's Dream Bowl IV held in Virginia Beach, VA.
The Dream Bowl is a college football all-star showcase of the best FCS, D-II and D-III players from across the country.
Woods-West and Rasheed, both graduating seniors from Detroit, MI, put together impressive seasons in their final year wearing the gold and maroon.
Woods-West set a school record for most sacks in a season (13.5) since CSU achieved NCAA Div. II status in 2005. He finished as the SIAC leader in sacks and tackles for loss (22). Woods-West collected numerous postseason honors including selections to the AFCA All-America Team, HEROSports.com All-America Team, Box-to-Row All-America Team, D2CCA Super Region Team and SIAC 1
st Team.
Transferring to CSU for his senior season, Rasheed quickly solidified himself as the team's feature back. Rasheed ran for a team best 559 yards with an impressive 4.2 yards per carry. He capped off his senior season with his best game, going for 121 yards and 3 scores.
Woods-West and Rasheed helped CSU to a 5-5 record this past season – the best mark since the program was reintroduced as a NCAA Div. II member in 2005.
