Ohio Valley sweeps season series with 78-66 win over CSU

Parkersburg, WV - , Central State was unable to overcome the absence of leading scorer Masceo Harmon, losing 78-66 to Ohio Valley on Thursday night.
The loss dropped Central State a full game back of Alderson Broaddus for the top spot in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. The Marauders are now 8-4 in conference play and 16-10 overall. OVU, which swept the regular season series, improves to 9-12 overall with a 6-5 mark in the conference. The Fighting Scots are currently in 6th place in the standings and are slated to be the last team to qualify for the conference tournament.
Anthony Chester, Harmon's replacement, finished with 13 points but struggled from the perimeter, converting just 3 of 12 shots from beyond the arc. Raheem Lemons also had 13 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Ra'Chaun Thompson came off the bench to score 15 points.
As a team, CSU shot just 33% compared to OVU's 48% performance.
Darryl Walker led the Fighting Scots to victory with 33 points on 11 of 20 from the field. Chris Hall came off the bench to score 13 points.
The Marauders return home on Saturday to host Salem International. After serving a mandatory 1 game suspension after picking up two technical fouls last Saturday, Harmon will be back in the lineup.
