Box Score Central State loses key G-MAC contest to Kentucky Wesleyan
Owensboro, Ky - Kentucky Wesleyan avenged last months loss to the Marauders with a 65-56 victory on Thursday night.
Entering the game on top of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference standings, CSU's loss now opens the door for five other teams in the conference who have 4 or fewer losses. Central State stands at 15-9 overall with a 7-3 mark in the conference. Alderson Broaddus, which did not play on Thursday night, moved back into the top spot with a 8-3 record. KWC improved to 6-3 in conference play and is 17-6 on the season.
Ken-Jah Bosley, the Panthers' leading scorer, finished with a game-high 22 points. Basil Deveaux was the only KWC starter to break double figures with 12 points. CSU forward Raheem Lemons turned in his 13th double-double performance of the year with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Masceo Harmon scored 17 points. Ra'Chaun Thompson finished with 12 points. The rest of the Marauders combined to score just 9 points shooting a combined 4 of 20 from the field. The Panther bench outscored the Marauder reserves 35-14 on their way to the 9 point win.
Central State returns to action on the road on Saturday against Trevecca Nazarene (9-12; 5-4).
