Box Score Harmon's layup rims out as Thorobreds top Marauders 75-73
Frankfort, KY - After beating Kentucky State on a buzzer beater on Nov. 25, Central State found itself on the other end of the final box score, losing 75-73 to their rivals on Monday.
With this most recent loss, the Marauders are now 12-8 overall heading into Saturday's G-MAC contest at Cedarville. The Thorobreds improved to 5-11 in a series in which KSU had lost the previous 3 contests.
Kentucky State was led by 14 points from Markus Montage. Darrien Wilkins followed with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Tre' Edwards paced CSU with a season and game-high 19 points.
Masceo Harmon, whose potential game tying shot rimmed out as time expired, finished with 18 points. The Marauders struggled from the line down the stretch, making just 2 of 6 attempts. They also missed the full services of big man
Raheem Lemons, who struggled with foul trouble throughout the night.
CSU's game against Cedarville on Saturday features to teams with 4-2 records in the G-MAC. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 pm tip.
