Box Score The Marauders of Central State University kept the Yellow Jackets of Cedarville off stride and came away with an 84-69 win in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference road contest.
The Marauders blasted out to a 26-10 lead to quiet the crowd of 2,061 in Callan Athletic Center. The Yellow Jackets scratched back to within 31-30 at the 5:35 mark, but the Marauders sprinted out to a 17 -7 run to end the half and found themselves with an 11 point lead at the half.
The CSU defense kept CU off track in the second half. Central increased the lead to 55-38 early in the period and allowed the hosts to get as close as eight points on just one occasion.
The Marauders are 12-7 overall and 4-2 in the G-MAC. The Marauders shot 43% from the field while holding the Yellow Jackets to 38% and forcing 16 turnovers.
LeDonte Body lead the way scoring for the Marauders with 20 points in 22 minutes due to foul trouble,
Tre Edwards finished with 15 points and 4 assist, while
Antone Byrd made his first appearance as a Marauder and came away with 14 points and 4 rebounds. Anthony Adams Rule lead the way on the boards grabbing 10 rebounds with 6 being on the offensive end.
