Box Score Tiffin, OH - After winning by one point over Wayne State in the opening round of the GLIAC v. G-MAC Challenge on Friday, the Central State men's basketball team were on the losing end of a 76-75 loss to Tiffin University on Saturday.
Up by as many as 9 points in the second half, the Marauders saw their lead slowly evaporate away. After a Raheem Lemons field goal to give CSU a 75-70 lead with 1:24 remaining, Tiffin rattled of 5 quick points to tie the game thanks to a three pointer by Khaleal McCormick and two free throws from Andy Bachman. After a CSU turnover, Tiffin's Alex Brown was fouled with 1 second remaining. Brown missed the first free throw attempt but calmly sunk the second to give the Dragons a 76-75 victory. Brown came off the bench to lead the Dragons in scoring with 16 points as Tiffin improved to 1-1 on the season.
CSU was led by Masceo Harmon's game-high 20 points followed by 18 from Lemons. Splitting the opening games of the GLIAC vs. G-MAC Challenge, the Marauders (1-1) will travel to face Ashland University (2-0) on Nov. 21 at 7:30 pm.
