After a difficult 31-24 loss to rival Kentucky State at the Circle City Classic last Saturday, the Marauders are poised to snap a 4 game losing streak when they travel to Alabama to face SIAC opponent Miles College on Saturday.

The Marauders enter the contest at 1-4 overall with a 1-2 mark in the SIAC West. In last week's loss, the Marauders scored 14 unanswered points to cut the margin to 7 before a potential game tying drive stalled with 14 seconds remaining. Quarterback Michael Wilson threw for 210 yards and used his legs to pick up 156 yards on the ground with 2 rushing touchdowns. Wilson, who began the season as the No. 2 quarterback, has taken over the starting role after an injury to Terrance Wafford. Wide receiver Christopher Murray ranks 5th in the conference with 307 receiving yards this season. Leading the Marauder defense is lineman Artrell McMillan. McMillan (No. 91-pictured) is currently the SIAC sack leader with 6. He was named the Circle City Classic Co-MVP after a 11 tackle and 1 sack performance.

First year coach Cedric Pearl returns to the state of Alabama after spending the previous 13 seasons coaching at Alabama A&M. Justin Mosley, a freshman linebacker from Prichard, AL, will also get the chance to perform infront of family and friends.

"The first thought is that this is a conference game on the road so our focus is mainly on winning and climbing up in the standings," Pearl said. "Justin has been practicing hard all week. It is always nice to be able to perform infront of the people who have stood by you for so many years. Justin has been flying around and making plays in practice all week. I expect him and the team to perform and execute this weekend."

McMillan and the defense will try to stop a Golden Bear offense ranked 3rd in the conference with 377.5 yds/game. A big part of that high powered offense comes from running back Jonathan Clark. Clark has totalled 427 rushing yards thus far. Coming off last week's 23-13 win over Benedict, Miles enters i Saturday with a 2-3 record and improved to 1-1 in the SIAC West standings.

For the Marauders, who are winless on the road this season, Miles will be the last opportunity to break the streak. The game will begin at 4 pm in Fairfield, AL atAlbert J. Sloan-Alumni Stadium.

The SIAC will feature Saturday's contest as the conference's "Game of the Week." Fans can follow the action live via the SIAC Digital Sport Network.

The Marauders will finish the 2014 season with four conescutive home games beginning with Homecoming against Concordia (AL) on Oct. 18.
