Tierra Floyd

Tierra Floyd was named Central State University's assistant women's basketball coach in the Summer of 2021.


Floyd comes to CSU after playing collegiately at Xavier University and Delaware State University.


Originally from Toledo, Ohio, Floyd attended Notre Dame Academy. Floyd led her team to three consecutive OHSAA Div. I Final Four appearances. During Notre Dame Academy's run, Floyd established herself as one of the top players in the country as she was ranked No. 16 by ESPN at her position and No. 79 overall by the All-Star Girls Report. Floyd, who averaged 16.7 points and 5.4 rebounds in her final season at Notre Dame Academy, was named Toledo Blade Player of the Year, District Player of the Year and All-State First Team.


Floyd signed with Xavier University in November of 2014 and played four seasons for the Musketeers. After graduating from XU with a degree in liberal arts, Floyd went on to play for Delaware State University as a grad student while working towards her degree in sports administration.
