Coach Branch enters his fourth season at Central State as the assistant coach of cross country and track & field.
Originally from Dayton, OH, Branch attended the University of Toledo where he solidified himself as a track & field starfrom 1984 to 1988. He was an All-MAC selection in all four years of collegiate competition.
After graduating from UT, Branch began his coaching career as an assistant at Scott High School in Toledo from 1989 to 1991. He helped the team earn a 3rd place finish in the 1990 Ohio State Meet.
After a hiatus from coaching, Branch returned to coaching in 2004, assisting at Central Catholic High School. While there, he was in charge of developing hurdlers.
From 2007 to 2012, Branch was the head coach of the Women's program at Bowsher High School. He earned District Coach of the Year in 2008 while leading his ladies to the Regional and District Championship. While at Bowsher, Branch developed 1 High School All-American, a Individual State Champion and multiple All-State performers.
After Bowsher, Branch assisted at Springfield High School in Holland, OH prior to coming to CSU.
Branch is a USATF Level 1 Certified Coach.
