Isreal Williamson and Reaghan Wakefield pace CSU track & field at Edinboro University


 
EDINBORO, Pennsylvania – In Central State University's first indoor competition of 2022, runner Isreal Williamson and jumper Reaghan Wakefield highlighted CSU's performance on Saturday.

 
Williamson led a CSU men's team which recorded 10 top-10 finishers in the meet.

 
Williamson took the top spot in the 400 meter run with a time of 51.79. Williamson also finished sixth in the 200 meter dash (22.95) and later teamed up with Tramari Smith, Demari Johnson and David Barfield to win the 4 x 400 meter relay in 3:34.55.

 
Other top performers for the CSU men included:

Demari Johnson – 60m – 7.17 – 6^th Place (7.09 Prelim)
David Barfield – 60m – 7.17 – 7^th Place (7.16 Prelim)
Hezekiah Reid – 400m – 54.55 – 8^th Place
Joshua Divers – 800m – 2:17.60 – 9^th Place
Jaheim Wilson – 60H – 8.40 – 2^nd Place
Jaheim Wilson – LJ – 5.97m – 9^th Place
Tyler Nelson – TJ – 12.07m – 10^th Place


 
Wakefield highlighted the day for the Lady Marauders by recording her second win of the season in the high jump (1.55m/5'1"). In addition to Wakefield's win, the CSU women had 13 top-10 performances including:

Kapri Dawkins – 200m – 27.16 – 8^th Place

Due to the cancellation of the Spire Institute Invitational, Central State University will now head to compete at the University of Michigan Invitational on Saturday, January 22.
