Freshman Denisha Cartwright continues hot start to indoor season at TU Alumni Open
TIFFIN, Ohio – Central State freshman
Denisha Cartwright highlighted the CSU track and field's weekend at the Tiffin University Alumni Open.

Cartwright, a freshman from Nassau, Bahamas, won the 60 meter hurdles in back-to-back weeks. She crossed the line with a NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying time of 8.78. She later won the 200 meter dash with another NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying pace of 25.15.

The freshman has now recorded three wins in her first two weeks competing on the collegiate level.

In addition to Cartwright's performances, senior
Krystal Mitchell finished in fourth place in both the 60 meter dash (7.70) and the 200 meter dash (26.55).
Jordan Saffold came in third in the 300 meter dash (42.49).

On the men's side,
Dametrius Alexander picked up a win in the 800 meter run (2:01.10). Other notable performance for the CSU men included
Emmanuel Birgen's third place run in the mile (4:27.97) and
Baron Wilson's fifth place pace in the 800 meter run (2:04.33).

The track and field team will continue the indoor season on January 10
th at the Armory HBCU Battle at the Track in New York, New York.
