Lady Marauders pick up 20th win of season with 72-66 victory over Tuskegee

TUSKEGEE, Alabama – The Central State Lady Marauders remain in the hunt for the SIAC West Division title with a 72-66 road win over the Tuskegee Tigers on Saturday.

With the win, CSU improves to 20-5 overall and 14-3 in the SIAC. TU drops to 6-19 on the year with a 5-12 mark in the conference.

CSU was led by the reigning SIAC Player of the Week
Sierra Harley. The senior guard led CSU with 13 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Brooke Spaulding, the reigning SIAC Newcomer of the Week, finished with 12 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals. Forward
Falon Edwards chipped in with 11 points and three steals as CSU improved to 9-2 on the road.

CSU managed to overcome the hot shooting of TU's Donshelle Daniels. Daniels converted 9 of 14 field goals for a game-high 24 points.

CSU will conclude the regular season on the road on Monday against Miles College at 5:30 pm cst (6:30 pm est).

The SIAC Tournament begins on Monday, Feb. 26 in Birmingham, Alabama.

With Saturday's win, CSU has notched back-to-back 20 win seasons since the program joined NCAA Div. II in 2004.

Due to Spring Hill's inability to participate in postseason play, CSU has clinched a No. 1 seed in the upcoming SIAC Tournament.
