Central State hosts Spring Hill on Saturday

Central State University continues SIAC play against Spring Hill College on Saturday.

The Lady Marauders (16-7; 10-4) can clinch the SIAC West Division regular season title with a win over Spring Hill. A win on Saturday would also ensure the No. 1 seed in the upcoming SIAC Tournament. CSU enters the game with three players averaging double-figures. The Lady Marauders rank No. 1 in the SIAC with +8.5 scoring margin. CSU is also leading the conference with 13.6 steals per game. CSU hosts a Spring Hill (14-9; 8-5) team that has won 7 of its last 9 games.

The women open up Saturday's SIAC action at 1 pm.

While the women hope to bring the first regular season divisional crown to CSU, the men continue to fight for post-season positioning. With wins in the final two games of the regular season along with some help from other schools, the Marauders (9-17; 5-10) have a chance to catapult as high as the No. 3 spot in the tournament. Coming off a career-high 42 points in Tuesday night's win over Wilberforce, Dwight Richards, Jr. leads the CSU scoring attack with 17.1 points per game.

The Marauders will also be recognizing three seniors during pre-game. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to help the men's program celebrate the collegiate careers of seniors Keilan Blanks, Robert Konteh and Markese McGuire prior to the scheduled 3 pm tip.
