Box Score sLady Marauders cruise to 81-37 win over Bluefield State
FRANKFORT, Kentucky - The Central State Lady Marauders led from beginning to end in a 81-37 victory over Bluefield State College on Friday night.
Playing on the campus of Kentucky State University, CSU scored the first 15 points of the game and never looked back. At the end of the first quarter, CSU grabbed a 18-3 lead. The Lady Marauders had their highest scoring quarter of the season with 27 points in the second quarter, taking a 45-12 lead into the break.
CSU owned a 36 point lead at the end of the third period and led by as many as 45 points in the final minutes of the fourth quarter while crusing to the eventual 81-37 victory.
The CSU defense forced Bluefield State into 40 turnovers. The Lady Marauders held a 39-10 in points scored of off turnovers. Every active Lady Marauder logged minutes and scored in the victory.
Sophomore
Tamara Sellers led the Lady Marauders in scoring with 19 points.
Ghameerah McCullers and
Zana Godoy both scored 12 as CSU improved to 2-1 on the season.
Bluefield State fell to 0-4 on the year. Tanasia Blake paced the team with 14 points.
The Lady Marauders return to action on Tuesday when the team makes the short trip to play Cedarville University at 5:30 pm. Fans can watch the game on -Â

In CSU's two victories, Sellers has led the team in scoring. In her first three games  as a Marauder, Sellers is averaging a team-high 16.3 points per game
