CSU's Nunley-Lash showcases skills at WCL Las Vegas Basketball Combine

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – After a standout collegiate career at CSU, Demetria Nunley-Lash is looking to take the next step to continue her basketball career at the next level.
That next step included showcasing her talents at the 2015 WCL Las Vegas Summer Combine this past weekend. Nunley-Lash was one of 30 players from NCAA Div. I, Div. II, Div. III and NAIA levels to participate at the combine.

Players performed in a variety of drills and skill tests which included:

  • Mid-range shooting
  • Three point shooting
  • Pull up shooting
  • Post work
  • Vertical jump
  • Sprints
  • Agility
  • Lateral speed
  • 2 on 1 transition
  • 3 on 2 transition
  • 1 on 1 defense
  • Sprints

 
Nunley-Lash performed well in the individual assessments with the second fastest full court sprint time in her group with a mark of 9.7 seconds. She hit 40% (10-25) three pointers and converted a combine best 80% on shots off the dribble.

Following the individual assessments, the players were split into teams and competed against each other in 5 v. 5 contests. In her first game, Nunley-Lash finished with 4 points and 6 rebounds. She followed with 7 points and 4 rebounds in her final game of the combine.
