The Marauders fell behind early but managed to cut the deficit to 18-17 with 7:28 left in the first. CSU then manufactured a 16-3 run to take a 35-25 lead into half. Kourtni Perry, Iniquia Snell, Jasmine Cooper and Jordyn Bond accounted for 30 of CSU's 35 points at the break.

Bond hit again with 6:30 left to give her team a 64-54 advantage.

D&E answered in the form of conference leading scorer Sharmaine Baker, who went on to score the game's next 7 points to cut the deficit to 67-64 with 3:11 remaining. Snell hit from beyond the arc on CSU's next possession to break a 4 minute CSU field goal drought. A Stephanie Wooten jumper brought the CSU lead back down to 4. With 1:11 remaining, senior Demetria Nunley-Lash made a crucial play, stealing the ball from Wooten under the D&E basket and converting a three-point play to put the Marauders up 70-63. Wooten would respond with a quick basket on the other end but a Kourtni Perry layup with 28 seconds left sealed the victory as CSU snapped a 4-game losing streak to D&E.

1924CSU was paced by Bond's 19 points and 7 assists. Jasmine Cooper collected her ninth double-double of the season with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Snell finished with 18 points and a game-high 7 assists. Perry, who was limited in the second half due to foul trouble, had 12 points and 8 assists.

"This feels good to progress throughout the tournament," Cooper said. "We played great as a team and came out focused and ready to play against a team that had previously beaten us."

Sharmaine Baker finished her season with a game-high 22 point performance. The Senators finish the year with a 13-14 overall record.

Central State will have little time to celebrate Thursday night's win as they prepare to take on No. 1 seed Cedarville University on Friday at 7:30 pm. Cedarville, which serves as this year's tournament host, is ranked No. 22 in the nation with a 25-3 overall mark.
