Box Score Lady Marauders outlast OVU with 78-72 victory
Parkersburg, WVÂ - Entering the night outside of the top six teams which qualify for the conference tournament, the Central State women's basketball team came up with a must win over Ohio Valley, 78-72, on Thursday night.
With the win, Central State improved to 8-16 overall with a 5-9 mark in G-MAC play. The CSU victory keeps the team in the hunt for the final spot in the G-MAC tournament. Ohio Valley, a team fighting with CSU for the final spot, fell to 5-9 in conference play and are 6-16 on the season.
Iniquia Snell, the conference's No. 2 scorer, finished with a game-high 24 points and 6 assists. Junior Jordyn Bond, a recent addition to the starting lineup, scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Jasmine Cooper added 12 points and 10 rebounds. The Fighting Scots were paced by Angelique Green's 24 points.
The Marauders return home on Saturday for the annual Breast Cancer Awareness game against Salem International. Fans who wear the color pink are automatically eligible to win raffles throughout the afternoon.
