Box Score Lady Marauders suffer 107-58 loss to Trevecca NazareneNashville, TN - The Central State women's basketball team went 0-2 in this week's road trip with the latest loss coming in a 107-58 loss to Trevecca Nazarene on Saturday.
With the loss, CSU falls to 7-16 on the season with a 4-9 mark in the G-MAC. With two weeks left in the season, the Lady Marauders are in 7th place in the conference standings but can leapfrog Ohio Valley (5-15; 4-7), Alderson Broaddus (7-15; 4-8) and Ursuline (6-18; 5-8) to earn the No. 4, No. 5, or No. 6 seed. The Trojans of Trevecca (15-7; 10-2) trail conference leading Cedarville by 1-game.
Every player who touched the floor scored for TNU on Saturday. TNU leading scorer Kaci Britt Bell finished with a game-high 23 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. Guards Paige Baughter and Christina Curtner each chipped in with 12 points. Morgan Long came off the bench to score 11 points.
Jordyn Bond was the only CSU player to break double figures with 16 points.
Iniquia Snell, the No. 2 scorer in the G-MAC, was held to just 5 points as CSU dropped to 2-6 in road games this season.
Central State will try to climb up the conference standings when the team travels to Ohio Valley on Thursday.
