Victor T. Simmons
Football – Linebacker
Victor T. Simmons (born May 5, 1964) made his mark as a standout linebacker for the Central State University Marauders, where his toughness, athleticism, and leadership anchored the defense. A proud product of CSU’s storied football tradition, Simmons’ play on the field earned him the opportunity to compete at the professional level.
Following his career at Central State, Simmons was signed as a linebacker during the NFL players’ strike in the 1987 season. He appeared in three games as a replacement player for the [Team Name – if known], showcasing the Marauder spirit on the biggest stage in football. Simmons took the field on October 4 against the New York Jets, October 11 against the Philadelphia Eagles, and October 19 against the Washington Redskins, representing Central State University with pride and determination.
His journey from Wilberforce to the NFL serves as a testament to the talent, work ethic, and perseverance fostered at Central State. Today, Victor T. Simmons stands as an inspiration for future Marauders pursuing excellence both on and off the field.
