A graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in Cleveland where she averaged 28 points and 16 rebounds per game, Sheba Harris joined the Lady Marauders under the leadership of Hall of Fame Coach Theresa Check in 1997. She was a four-year letter winner and three-time NAIA Division I All American.

As a member of the Lady Marauders, Harris led the team to 25-win seasons in each of her final three years. Harris became a member of the 1,000 Point Club in her final year. She was named the NAIA Division National Player of the Week six times during her senior season. Upon completing her four years of eligibility, Harris was invited by the Women's National Basketball Association to its tryouts and also played in the Historically Black College and University All-Star game featuring student-athletes from all levels of competition throughout the United States.

Since graduating in 2002 from Central State University with a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering degree, Harris earned the Master of Education in 2009, also from Central State. She served as Assistant Coach with Head Coach Pat Tramble from 2003 to 2009 when she was selected to lead the Lady Marauders in the continuing re-building of the program to success at the NCAA Division II level.
