Mr. Kenneth Greene, a native of Xenia, Ohio, was employed at Central State University for over thirty years. He passed away in February of 1978. Mr. Greene was a constant presence in all aspects of the Athletic Department. Serving as the Head Custodian for athletics, he was responsible for all the athletic facilities and event set up associated with athletics. In addition, he supervised other full time staff assigned to the athletic department, the student athletes assigned to the athletic department when their sport was not in season, and the laundering of uniforms.
Mr. Greene handled most of the purchasing for the Athletics Department. Born and raised in nearby Xenia, he was known and loved by all in the area. While working at Central State, his two children attended the school and graduated in 1956 & 1958 respectively. His daughter currently lives in Kansas City, Missouri while is son lives in Dayton, Ohio.
