A four-year letterman in football, Curtis Anderson was a starter for three seasons and led the team in Sacks and Interceptions each of those years. Anderson led the Marauders each year in Sacks and tied for the lead in Interceptions. He received many honors throughout his career including recognition by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Jet Magazine and the Sheridan Black College Football Poll.

Anderson was selected in the fifth round of the 1979 National Football League draft by the Dallas Cowboys. He subsequently played for the Kansas City Chiefs (1979-80) and for the Ottawa Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (1981-82). From 1983 through 1985, he played in the United States Football League for the World Champion Michigan Panthers, the Oklahoma Outlaws and the Jacksonville Bulls. In the 1987-88 season, he returned to professional football with the Green Bay Packers during the NFL players' strike.

Anderson earned his Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Central State in 1979 and currently serves with the Fairfield (Ohio) city Schools.
