Rice, a senior guard from Covington, Ky., averaged 27 points and 11.5 rebounds a game in leading his team to win the Red Roof Inn Roundball Classic. He shot 61.8% from the floor (21-34), 60% (6-10) from behind the arc and 66.7% (6-9) from the line.

Rice had 34 points and 13 rebounds in an 81-69 win over Ashland on Nov. 18. He was 12-of-16 from the floor and hit five three-pointers for the game. Rice had 20 points and 10 rebounds in the finals, a 65-60 win over Ohio Dominican on Nov. 19. For his efforts, Rice was named the tournament MVP.
